TRANSISTOR 66 RECORDS COMPILATION “THE FAMILY” INCLUDED IN HALF PINTS BREWING COMPANY’S TASTING PACKS IN WESTERN CANADA!
WINNIPEG, MB (MAY 31, 2011) – Transistor 66 Record Co. and Half Pints Brewing Company, both of Winnipeg, are pleased to announce THE FAMILY: a compilation album featuring artists from the label’s roster. The download card will be included in Half Pints’ Tastings Packs, currently distributed across western Canada.
“We believe we have some of the best artists on the planet, and Half Pints makes some of the best beer on the planet,” says Art MacIntyre, founder of Transistor 66 Record Co. “Nothing goes together better than great beer and rock n’ roll.”
Artists featured on THE FAMILY include entries from acclaimed roots singer-songwriter Scott Nolan, searing femme-fronted rockers Miesha & the Spanks, and rockabilly stalwarts The Farrell Bros., to name a few. The record is available exclusively in Half Pints’ Tastings Packs
“Winnipeg’s music scene means a lot to us personally, not only as brewers,” says Nicole Rudge, CEO of Half Pint Brewing, who met her husband and Half Pints business partner/brewmaster at a punk rock show in Winnipeg. “Supporting our local artists has always been a priority for us, and it always will.”
Included in the 12-bottle Taster Packs include four varieties of Half Pints’ flagship brews, including the Bulldog Amber Ale, Little Scrapper IPA, St. James Pale Ale and Stir Stick Stout, a bold, coffee-infused brew with a distinct chocolate flavour.
